STINAPA Nature Fee (Bonaire Marine Park Tag)
12° 8.7′ N · 68° 15.9′ W · approximate
Every person who dives, snorkels, swims, kayaks, kites or windsurfs in the Bonaire National Marine Park - which is every drop of water around Bonaire and Klein Bonaire - needs the STINAPA nature fee tag, and the same tag gets you into Washington Slagbaai National Park.
Practical
USD 40 per person, valid for the calendar year (January to December), covering both the marine park and Washington Slagbaai (STINAPA and Wikivoyage, 2023-2026 pages); cruise passengers can buy a USD 10 one-day fee for Washington Slagbaai. Buy online at stinapa.bonairenaturefee.org or at dive shops; carry the tag/receipt and photo ID. Divers must disinfect gear before their first and after their last dive on Bonaire (non-sensitive gear 5 minutes in 10% bleach, sensitive gear 5 minutes in 7% Lysol, then rinse) because of stony coral tissue loss disease (SCTLD). Dive sites can close at short notice - check STINAPA or a dive shop. Coordinate approx: Kralendijk town centre (Wikipedia) as a nominal point for this island-wide permit.
