Puerto Rico is a big-box, US-dollar provisioning stop. Ponce has a Sam's Club, supermarkets and the large Plaza del Caribe mall, and Salinas has smaller stores near the marina.
Practical
Position approx: Ponce city center (Wikipedia coordinates). Per the Virgintino PR guide (~2015): near Ponce harbor are a town beach, the Plaza del Caribe mall, a supermarket and a Sam's Club (the yacht club can call a cab); there is a good diesel mechanic in Ponce; Salinas has a few stores by the marina, with the town about a mile's walk west. Mayagüez is also an excellent reprovisioning stop. US dollars, cards accepted almost everywhere, ATMs everywhere, 911 for emergencies, and US phone plans usually work. Rental cars are widely available.
