'La Perla del Sur': Plaza Las Delicias with the landmark 1882 Parque de Bombas firehouse, the cathedral and streets of Ponce Creole and neoclassical mansions. It is the south coast's cultural capital.
Practical
Coordinates from Wikipedia (Ponce Historic Zone). A long walk or short taxi from the yacht club. The Parque de Bombas was Puerto Rico's first fire station (1883) and is now a museum. The Virgintino guide (~2015) recommends Ponce's highly regarded art gallery and notes free on-demand trolleys from the town center (verify current service). Very walkable and safe by day.
Best for
A cultural day ashore
