Portobelo's small mini-marts, bakeries, hardware stores, bars and restaurants cover the basics, and frequent buses run to Colón, Sabanitas and Panama City for a bigger shop.

Coordinate approximate: town centre at the Church of San Felipe. Several small restaurants and stores sell basic provisions and hardware (Noonsite, April 2026). No bank in Portobelo, but an ATM next to the Police Station; banks and ATMs at Sabanitas on the road to Colón. Frequent daytime buses to Colón and Panama City; bringing large loads back by bus is awkward. Diesel and water can be delivered to the anchorage (Eloy, +507 6729-0623). Dinghy theft is common: lock the dinghy at the landing.
