Montego Bay Port of Entry

18° 28.6′ N · 77° 56.3′ W

The western clearance port and the natural landfall from the Yucatan Channel, Cuba or the Caymans.

Practical

Position is Noonsite's port-of-entry map point. Clearance is arranged through the Montego Bay Yacht Club: register at the office after berthing and they call Customs and Immigration to clear you at the club. Club website: no charge 9 am-4 pm on business days; US$100 per vessel after 4 pm; US$180 for Customs on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Do not leave the boat or club until cleared. Give the club 24 hours' notice to clear out. All vessels should have holding tanks. Ask for the 'Customs Transire' and 'Coastwise Clearance' forms if you will stop elsewhere in Jamaica (Noonsite 2018).
