Mauger Caye Light (Turneffe North)
17° 36.4′ N · 87° 46.3′ W
The lighthouse caye at Turneffe's northern end, a key landfall mark for boats crossing from Ambergris or heading out to Lighthouse Reef; the surrounding Maugre Caye zone protects a Nassau grouper spawning site.
Practical
Wikipedia notes the lighthouse at the north end on Mauger Caye and a smaller navigation aid at Caye Bokel in the south. Do not rely on lights in Belize: many are reported out (Noonsite). Spawning aggregation zone: no fishing. Position: OpenStreetMap island outline centroid.
