Just across from Placencia, the Lark Caye Range is the local bolt-hole in unsettled weather: very deep but with good holding and protection.
Practical
Position approximate: southwest side of Lark Caye (OpenStreetMap); sound for a spot - Noonsite notes it is very deep. The Moorings lists Lark Caye as an alternative overnight to Laughing Bird Caye. Close enough to Placencia for a dinghy dinner run in calm weather.
