A calm, clear fringing reef around little Isla Ceycén at the southwest corner of San Bernardo - healthy hard and soft coral, seagrass and white sand at 6–14 m, good for beginner divers and snorkelers alike.

Practical

Position from the PADI dive-site listing (9.69972, -75.85028), on the northeast edge of the islet beside the Ceycén light. PADI: 6–14 m (max listed 18 m), boat or shore entry, angelfish, pufferfish, octopus, seahorses and schools of reef fish, excellent visibility. DivePlanner Pro rates it beginner (18 m) and diver reviews report anything from no current (July 2023) to moderate current (November 2023) - ask the operator. Dives run from Tolú and Rincón del Mar (the national guide notes certified dive agencies in Tolú; Rincon Dive Center is recommended by Tom Plan My Trip). No anchorage is published at Ceycén - it is exposed; visit from the Tintipán or Punta San Bernardo anchorages in settled weather and keep well off the surrounding reef. Park rules: don't touch, stand on or anchor on coral; no collecting; dive only with an operator licensed for the park (Parques Nacionales).
