9° 19.8′ N · 82° 13.8′ W · approximate

Between Isla Colón, Solarte and Carenero lies a cluster of short-hop dives — a wreck, seahorse sites, a coral wall and a sunken 1997 ferry — minutes from the anchorage.

Practical

Position approximate — the general water area between Isla Colón, Solarte and Carenero (Tourism Panama); dive operators know the exact buoys. Pandora (wreck) and Bouyline: rays, sharks, seahorses, green morays. Sachen: coral walls, sharks, nudibranchs — more experience needed and only visited in the low-current months of September and October. The Old Wreck: small ferry sunk in 1997, popular for night dives and bioluminescence. Playground: shallow, beginner-friendly, starfish and good visibility. Airport Point: near Bocas Town, protected from wind and waves, big coral colonies. Mangrove Point: shallow mangrove-and-coral site near Isla Colón (Tourism Panama). Most Bocas dives are 15–20 m; two-tank dives were about US$60 in 2019 (Wikivoyage — verify). Water 25–30 °C year-round (Visit Panama). Heavy boat traffic — always fly a dive flag.
