Gibbs Cay (stingrays)

21° 26.5′ N · 71° 6.8′ W

A 7-acre cay a mile off Grand Turk's east coast where wild southern stingrays glide in to meet every boat that lands on the western beach.

Practical

Day-anchor off the west beach in settled weather or join a tour from Cockburn Town or the cruise centre. Rays are wild: don't touch, feed or harass them, and shuffle your feet. Tours often add a snorkel stop south of the island. Salt Cay Divers also run trips here.

Best for

Swimming with stingrays
