Crawl Cay (Cayo Coral) Over-Water Restaurants
9° 14.6′ N · 82° 8.3′ W
A cluster of stilt restaurants over the reef at Crawl Cay, south of Bastimentos, where tour boats stop for lunch after Dolphin Bay — order whole fried fish or lobster and snorkel while it cooks.
Practical
Position is the GeoNames 'Cayo Coral' settlement (also known as Cayo Crawl / Crawl Cay — 'Coral Cay' is the same place). Typical stop after snorkeling Coral Cay; order Caribbean seafood and try the local hot sauce (Visit Panama itinerary). Busy at tour lunchtime; arrive early or late. Coral Cay is outside the marine park and a recommended secure anchorage (Scuttlebutt). Lobster has a regulated season — don't order it out of season.
