16° 26.5′ N · 85° 53.2′ W · approximate

Guanaja's shops are packed onto Bonacca cay — supermarkets, hardware and pharmacies, with fresh vegetables arriving most Friday mornings on the boat from the mainland.

Practical

Placed at Bonacca (approx). NW Caribbean wiki notes (2008-2010, verify locally): the best-stocked supermarket was Casa Sikaffy; the mainland boat brings vegetables most Friday mornings and they are hand-trucked to the stands; Zapata's sold cinnamon rolls on Fridays; M&M pharmacy. Fuel, propane, water and ice at the Wilmont Bay 'Alcatraz' fuel island just off Bonacca (separate entry); 2005 Noonsite notes (via OCC) also mention a Texaco dock on Bonacca's north side with about 14 ft. Land by dinghy at the town docks.
