A small anchorage on the west side of Bahía de Rincón, between Ponce and Salinas, handy as a bolt-hole in a stiff northeasterly.
Practical
Position approx: this is the guide's approach waypoint just south of the harbor entrance, 0.8 nm from the anchorage, from the Virgintino PR guide (~2015). Stay in the center of the unmarked entrance channel and avoid the shoal at the south tip of Cayo Mata. Late in the trade-wind season it is open to S and SE winds. Sound your way the last 0.8 nm into the anchorage itself.
