M/V Comberbach wreck (dive)
23° 33.3′ N · 75° 18.4′ W · approximate
A steel freighter sunk on purpose on Long Island's lee side, now a wreck dive with soft corals, sponges, turtles and the occasional blacktip reef shark.
Practical
Stella Maris Resort says the M.V. Comberbach was sunk about four decades ago in the protected lee and prepared for diving, within 30 minutes by boat of the marina; Cape Santa Maria describes an upright, intact wreck in about 98 ft (it does not name it) and Bahamas.com lists the Comberbach wreck for advanced divers. The position is the centroid of an OpenStreetMap feature labelled 'My Comberbeach' and is NOT a dive waypoint; go with a local operator.
