Long Island's main mid-island airport, serving Clarence Town and the south, and listed by Bahamas Customs as a port of entry. It closed in January 2026 for a major runway extension and a new international terminal.

Wikipedia: closed January 19, 2026; in April 2026 it was forecast to reopen in summer, but no final date was published. The rebuild extends the runway from 3,999 to 6,499 ft and adds an international terminal with Customs and Immigration. While it is closed, Bahamasair flies Nassau to Stella Maris instead (Cape Santa Maria). It flooded during Hurricane Melissa (October 2025). Check its status before planning crew changes.
