Bahama oriole
24° 47.4′ N · 77° 56.7′ W · approximate
An endangered oriole now found only on Andros (North Andros, Mangrove Cay and South Andros), nesting in the pine forests and in coconut palms around settlements.
Practical
Position approximate: Blue Holes National Park (Wikipedia centroid), whose pine forest BNT names as oriole habitat. Wikipedia: once also on Abaco, lost there in the 1990s; early surveys suggested 300 or fewer birds but nesting in pine forest suggests more. Threats include shiny cowbirds, coconut palm die-off and introduced predators. Look in pine forest and palms around settlements.
