Abraham's Bay Government Dock (dinghy landing)

22° 21.9′ N · 72° 58.3′ W

The concrete government dock at Abraham's Bay settlement - in practice the cruisers' dinghy landing, reached by a narrow staked channel across the flats.

Practical

Waterway Guide position 22°21.854'N 72°58.285'W; fixed concrete bulkhead about 290 ft, no power, water, showers or pump-out listed. Far too shallow for anything but dinghies; a few local boats lie in the inner basin. Dec 2025 review: the dinghy channel has shoaled further - stay well out in the bay, find the two white poles about 10 ft apart, go between them and follow the darker water to the dock; keep about 2 ft off the side of the dock for the deepest water and TILT the outboard at low tide. Noonsite: the channel is marked with thin wooden sticks. Not much to tie to; you can also drag the dinghy ashore by a fisherman's shack. The weekly mail boat uses the dock (Noonsite names MV Lady Mathilda; Wikipedia names M/V Lady Rosalind II) - keep clear on mail-boat day. Trash at the government dock.
