A serene anchorage in good sand off Whale Cay, the island where speedboat racer Joe Carstairs built her private kingdom in the 1930s; good in northwest to northeast winds.
Practical
ActiveCaptain position. Good sand holding; a February 2023 boat rode out 40 kt from N and NE with some wave action, then a rolly 30 kt easterly with a swell bridle. Surge with even a slight southerly component. Beaches for dogs nearby; BTC from Chub. Whale Cay is private (the Wikivoyage Berry Islands page says visitors are not welcome at its airstrip): stay on the beach. Not to be confused with Whale Cay in the Abacos.
