Tom Curry Point Anchorage (outside Little Harbour)

26° 20.0′ N · 77° 0.1′ W

The overflow anchorage just outside the Little Harbour entrance, for boats that draw too much for the bar or arrive at the wrong tide.

Practical

Good holding in sand with light grass on the west side of Tom Curry Point; proceed straight in from the northeast. Broad, shallow and grassy; open to swell from the cut from NE, E and SE - rolly, and the dinghy ride to Pete's can be rough. Best as a day stop; overnight at Lynyard in E winds. ActiveCaptain community reports date from 2011-2019, before Hurricane Dorian (Category 5, Sept 1, 2019) hit Abaco; re-check bottom, markers and businesses locally.

Best for

Waiting for the tide into Little Harbour
