Theo's Wreck

26° 28.3′ N · 78° 41.1′ W · approximate

Grand Bahama's signature wreck: the 228-ft cement freighter Logna, scuttled on purpose in October 1982 and now lying on her port side in about 100 ft at the edge of the drop-off, smothered in sponges and orange gorgonians.

Practical

Position is the rounded site position published by SailAbacos, not a surveyed mooring fix; verify with a dive operator. SailAbacos reports two mooring buoys at bow and stern about 1.5 miles off Silver Point, with the upper hull at about 65 ft and penetration possible through the cargo hold and engine room for trained divers. UNEXSO's history page confirms she was sunk in 1982 as an artificial reef. Advanced-level depth; dive it with an operator (Grand Bahama Scuba runs wreck dives).
