Gun Cay Cut Northeast Anchorage

A bank-side waiting spot on the east side of a sand bank just inside the Gun Cay Cut, used to rest before crossing the bank or to wait for light and current to run the cut west.
Practical
Position from ActiveCaptain. About 11 ft; plenty of 7-11 ft with excellent holding in soft sand (2017 review). Open water with no shore access: settled weather only. Anchor clear of the suggested Explorer route so you are not in the path of boats moving at night; some electronic charts do not show this area well.
