Great Harbour Cay Blue Hole (Rat Cay)

25° 45.9′ N · 77° 52.7′ W

A deep blue hole north of Bullocks Harbour and just east of Rat Cay that drops past 100 ft, with stalactites near the rim and water that cools into the 60s °F at depth.

Practical

ActiveCaptain position. Settled weather only. Shallow getting over to the hole: tender at best, and you may need to raise the outboard. The water can carry a lot of suspended debris. A resident sea turtle was seen on consecutive days (January 2019). Combine with the DC-3 wreck nearby.

Best for

An off-the-path blue hole by dinghy
