Grand Bahama Yacht Club Fuel Dock (Lucaya)

26° 31.0′ N · 78° 38.2′ W

The working yacht fuel dock in Lucaya, to starboard just inside Bell Channel. With Port Lucaya Marina closed, it is the place to fill up on the south shore, and Southern Boating noted Lucaya fuel prices were often the lowest in The Bahamas.

Practical

Position from OpenStreetMap (amenity=fuel, seamark small-craft fuel station). GBYC sells 'high-speed, triple-filtered fuel' (grades not stated). Fuel dock phones: local 1-242-373-7618, US 1-954-284-4289; marina on VHF 16 (call before entering Bell Channel). Hours not published; call ahead. Customs and Immigration are at the same marina. Ocean Reef Yacht Club's website lists no fuel, and a 2012 cruiser guide lists fuel only at the Lucaya marinas, so plan to fuel here before heading to Ocean Reef or out the Grand Lucayan Waterway. For jerry cans and dinghy gas, Cooper's road station is a short walk up Midshipman Road.

Best for
