Anchorage· Cat Cay· Bahamas — North

Dollar Harbour (South Cat Cay)

25° 31.9′ N · 79° 15.7′ W

A sheltered sand-and-grass cove up the channel at South Cat Cay, a beach for the dog and short dinghy rides to reefs full of lobster and yellowtail.

Practical

Position from ActiveCaptain. Stay well away from Wedge Rocks coming in, then head for Cat Point; the channel runs close to the island with about 13 ft most of the way and shoals hard to the east. Anchor in about 7 ft over sand and grass. Good protection from westerly winds; calm in south to south-west (August 2026 review: excellent holding). Major bug problem; bonefishing area. Strong cell signal.

Best for

A quiet protected stop south of the Cat Cays
