Chub Cay Marina

25° 24.7′ N · 77° 54.3′ W

A big, modern marina with 108 floating concrete slips at the southwest tip of the Berries, the self-styled billfish capital of the Bahamas, minutes from the marlin grounds of The Pocket. It is now a members' club: transients get fuel and customs, not slips.

Practical

ActiveCaptain position. The marina site (read October 2026): 108 Bellingham floating slips, to 160 ft LOA, water and 30/50/100-amp power at every slip. Rates are for members only; visitors may clear customs and fuel during operating hours. Contact and written permission are required before entering: hail VHF 68 and email info@chubcay.com before arrival and again on approach; phone +1 786-209-0025. Vessels may not proceed past the fuel dock without a slip reservation, and the marina posts a $5,000 unauthorized-entry fee. The rest of the island (beaches, clubhouse, amenities) is members-only, and non-members may not roam unescorted. Approach channel well marked with stone breakwaters; a reviewer never saw under 9 ft at half tide (ActiveCaptain), but a January 2026 report says the green flashing port-hand piling is missing. Older ActiveCaptain reviews describing day passes, the restaurant and a store predate the members-only policy.
