Bonefish Creek, Compass Cay
24° 16.0′ N · 76° 31.0′ W · approximate
The mangrove creek north of the Compass Cay marina entrance, described by the cruising guide as a nursery for bonefish — skinny water, tailing fish and the kind of stalking that rewards patience.
Practical
Fish it on a rising tide by dinghy or on foot. Guided flats trips out of Compass run around $350. If you are north of Conch Cut you are in the park no-take zone — Compass Cay itself is outside it, but confirm boundaries before keeping anything.
