Tracy Arm Cove (Holkham Bay)
57° 52.5′ N · 133° 34.8′ W · approximate
Tracy Arm Cove is the small anchorage at the mouth of Tracy Arm, the usual overnight for boats exploring the fjords. Cruisers describe a buoyed entrance channel with a range, and icebergs sometimes aground on the bar and shoals.
Practical
Position is approximate (open water near the Tracy Arm mouth); the cove's exact swinging room and entrance channel are not captured here, so use the NOAA chart. Room varies: one 2023 crew had plenty of space, another found the only viable spot in their wind taken and moved to Snug Cove; a 2024 crew anchored here after a long day from Hobart Bay. Ice on the entrance bar is a real concern. Depths and holding are unconfirmed. After the August 2025 landslide, SailSpo's Guides route up Endicott Arm, not Tracy Arm; use the cove only as a sheltered overnight, not as a base for a Sawyer Glacier run.
Best for
Sheltered overnight at the fjord mouth
