Endicott Arm (to Dawes Glacier)
57° 37.7′ N · 133° 15.6′ W
Endicott Arm is the second great fjord in the Tracy Arm-Fords Terror Wilderness, over 30 miles long, running from Holkham Bay to Dawes Glacier. It is the route SailSpo's Guides use for the glacier run now that Tracy Arm is off the plan. Expect ice, waterfalls and, in summer, cruise ships and tour boats.
Practical
Coordinate is the USGS place-name (GNIS) position, via OSM. About one-fifth of the area of the wilderness's two fjords is ice-covered. Endicott Arm is not free of landslide risk: a tour boat reported a 5-10 ft surge from an inlet off Endicott Arm after the August 2025 slide, and researchers have warned that Dawes Glacier's retreat raises similar concerns (reported in a May 2026 research summary; SailSpo could not read the primary text, so this is unconfirmed). Fords Terror lies off this fjord (see its entries). Fuel, food and any help are far away; carry spare fuel and plan conservatively.
