Tyrrel Bay Customs and Immigration (Carriacou Marine)

12° 27.2′ N · 61° 29.2′ W

Grenada's port of entry for yachts arriving from or leaving for the north, in an office at Carriacou Marine on the south-west side of Tyrrel Bay, next to the fuel dock. Hillsborough no longer clears yachts.

Practical

Hours (Carriacou Marine website, viewed Oct 2026): Monday to Friday 8:00-11:45 am and 1:00-4:00 pm; Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 9:00 am-1:30 pm (overtime charges apply at weekends and holidays per Noonsite). Arrive by about 3 pm so formalities finish the same day. Anchor with the Q flag up, or come alongside Carriacou Marine's dock for a small charge. Only the captain lands until clearance is complete. Bring: five copies of the combined Customs/Immigration/Ports Authority form (downloadable from Carriacou Marine's site), immigration cards for everyone landing, the clearance from your last port, and passports. Grenada uses SailClear for pre-arrival and the edcard.gov.gd online arrival/departure card (noforeignland). Grenada currently has two yacht ports of entry: Carriacou Marine (for boats coming from or going north) and Port Louis Marina, St George's (south). Charter and private yachts should not use the commercial ports. Clear out in working hours and leave within 24 hours; duty-free fuel is available once cleared out. Note: Noonsite (Feb 2025, citing Doyle) says Immigration reopened at Carriacou Marine after Hurricane Beryl but Customs was still working from the Tyrrel Bay ferry port, so ask Immigration where to go next. Direct lines published by Carriacou Marine: Customs +1 473 443 6100, Immigration +1 473 443 9379. Taxi from Hillsborough about EC$35 each way (Noonsite; verify locally). Coordinate is the OpenStreetMap 'Customs' office node at Carriacou Marine.
