Princess Margaret Trail (Belmont to Lower Bay)
13° 0.2′ N · 61° 14.4′ W · approximate
A coastal trail and boardwalk around the Princess Point headland linking the Belmont Walkway, Princess Margaret Beach and Lower Bay - uninterrupted pedestrian access from Fort Hamilton to the far end of Lower Bay.
Practical
Position approximate (Princess Point section). Action Bequia rebuilt the offshore section around the headland in June-August 2023 after rockfalls, doubling the piers, at a cost of EC$269,956 (Searchlight). Vital Charters reports it was damaged again by Hurricane Beryl in July 2024 and repaired and reopened before the end of 2024. A second trail with cut steps and boardwalk climbs over Princess Point from the far end of Princess Margaret Beach into Lower Bay. Allow 15-20 minutes from town to Princess Margaret Beach. Check that the boardwalk is open after storms.
