Argyle Waterfall

11° 15.2′ N · 60° 35.2′ W

Tobago's highest waterfall, dropping 54 m in three tiers through the forest near Roxborough, with a natural 'jacuzzi' on the second tier and a deep top pool for swimming.

Practical

Position is the car park (OpenStreetMap); the falls are about a 15-minute walk. Pay at the Roxborough Estate Visitor Service Co-operative booth, which also has a café; Rough Guides says the guide's services are included in the entrance fee and a tip is expected (amount not stated; verify locally). Official guides wear blue, green or yellow Argyle shirts. The second fall is strongest in the rainy season (June-November). Reach it by taxi from Speyside or Charlotteville; Roxborough has the windward coast's fuel and takeaway food.
