Anse La Raye Friday Fish Fry
13° 56.4′ N · 61° 2.6′ W
The fishing village of Anse La Raye ('Bay of Rays') turns its waterfront into an open-air seafood grill on Friday nights: snapper, mahi-mahi, lobster in season and lambi (conch) with breadfruit, plantain and Creole seasoning, plus music.
Practical
Coordinate is the OpenStreetMap Anse La Raye Village Square. Schedules differ between sources: one Saint Lucia Tourism Authority page says the fish fry is held on the last Friday of every month, another describes it as every Friday on Front Street near the jetty, and a 2026 tourism article says to ask locally because the schedule can vary. Confirm locally before you go. It is a 25-minute drive from Castries and close to Marigot Bay (by taxi or dinghy ride in settled weather). Anse La Raye Falls and River Rock Falls are nearby. By boat: see Anse La Raye Anchorage (settled weather only).
Best for
A gentler, local Friday night than Gros Islet
Season
