West End Customs & Immigration (Soper's Hole Port of Entry)

18° 23.3′ N · 64° 42.2′ W · approximate

The BVI's western port of entry, in the West End ferry terminal on the north side of Soper's Hole, the closest clearance office for yachts coming from St John and St Thomas.

Practical

Position from OpenStreetMap (H.M. Customs & Immigration, West End). Offices are at the ferry dock; USVI ferries stop here, so clearance can take longer when a ferry arrives (Noonsite, Dec 2022). A 2015 Noonsite report of fees for a 44 ft yacht with two crew: port fees US$21.46 and clearance US$8.99, with no departure tax on a yacht (verify locally). Complete the online BVI immigration and customs form before arrival. Pick up a mooring while clearing: Noonsite reports no mooring charge for daytime clearance or shopping stops (2015).
