Marina Cay Mooring Field

18° 27.6′ N · 64° 31.6′ W · approximate

BoatyBall moorings in the reef-sheltered water between tiny Marina Cay, Great Camanoe and Scrub Island, with the reef breaking the Atlantic swell and a bar and grill on the cay.

Practical

Position approximate: placed in the mooring area just west of Marina Cay's published position (18.460878, -64.525401). First-come, first-served BoatyBall moorings, white with an orange sticker and three-letter code, US$40/night paid in the BoatyBall app, overnight allowed (Marina Cay, 2026); BoatyBall also lists reservable balls here at US$55/night. Do not anchor near the reef or close to the mooring field: keep the channel clear. Approaches (Marina Cay FAQ): from the east, round the north end of the island, leave the conspicuous rock at the north-east end of the reef to port and pass between Marina Cay and Scrub Island; from the south or west, favour the southern tip of Great Camanoe and leave the red buoy marking the reef's south-west end to starboard; in good light from the north or north-east you can come between Scrub Island and Great Camanoe under power (narrow, 25 ft). Fuel, ice, trash and provisions at Scrub Island Marina next door; no trash disposal on Marina Cay. Overnight mooring customers may use the cay's restrooms and showers during opening hours.
