Little St James (Private Island)

The small private island off the southeast tip of Great St. James, notorious as Jeffrey Epstein's former estate and sold with Great St. James in 2023; its ledges are a well-known dive and snorkel site.

Coast Pilot: St. James Cut between Little and Great St. James has 18 ft, but watch for Welk Rocks in the east approach and The Stragglers on the west side; a rock awash lies about 125 yards northwest of the northeast point of Little St. James, with reef almost out to it. Dog Island Cut, between Dog Island and Little St. James, has a 10 ft rock near mid-channel at its north entrance and is for small boats with local knowledge only; currents up to 4 knots are reported near Dog Island.
