Culebra CBP Clearance (Benjamín Rivera Noriega Airport)

18° 18.8′ N · 65° 18.3′ W · approximate

Culebra is a CBP pleasure-boat reporting station, so boats arriving from the BVI or abroad can report here instead of going on to Fajardo; the officers are based on the island and meet arrivals at the Dewey dock or the airport.

Practical

Have ready: everyone's name, date of birth and citizenship (passport and visa details), boat name/registration and nationality, CBP user-fee decal number (boats 30 ft and over), cruising licence number if a foreign boat, and a return phone number. After hours, leave a message with boat name, registration, arrival date and time and a callback number; nobody leaves the boat until cleared (Virgintino). Then wait for instructions. Hours and office locations change: call ahead.
