Coral Harbor West Shore Landing (Cocoloba & Isola)

18° 20.6′ N · 64° 42.9′ W · approximate

The informal dinghy landing on the west shore of Coral Harbor, wading distance from Dolphin Market, Aqua Bistro, Crabby's and the Isola building shops and eateries.

Practical

Position approximate: the shoreline just east of the OpenStreetMap nodes for Dolphin Market and Aqua Bistro in Cocoloba Plaza. There is no dinghy dock on the west shore: tie to the shore or anchor the dinghy in the shallows and wade in (CBYC guide, 2022). Alternatively land at the main dinghy dock and walk the donkey trail, turning left on Salt Pond Road (Route 107). There are no trash bins at this landing; the free public dumpsters are about a third of a mile to the right, and you should not hand trash to people offering to dispose of it (CBYC). Keep to 6 mph in the mooring area and channel, and keep crew from swimming across the busy channel. Avoid the Saunders Gut seagrass when anchoring the big boat.
