CBP Cruz Bay (St John Port of Entry)

18° 20.0′ N · 64° 47.7′ W · approximate

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection terminal in Cruz Bay, where boats arriving from the BVI or any foreign port report in; international ferries also clear here.

Practical

Position is approximate: inside Cruz Bay on the Creek side near the NPS visitor center (the dock is the Victor William Sewer Marine Facility per Wikipedia); verify the exact customs dock on arrival. Cruz Bay is a customs port of entry (Coast Pilot 5). CBP (2026 page): the master must report arrival by phone immediately on arrival at 1-877-305-8775 (seven days a week) unless using the free CBP ROAM app; arrivals from foreign ports must otherwise report in person for a face-to-face inspection. Have ready: names, dates of birth, citizenship and passports of all aboard, boat name and registration, the CBP user-fee decal number (required for private vessels 30 ft and over; buy online via DTOPS or pay on reporting), and cruising-license number for qualifying foreign vessels. After hours, leave a message with boat name, registration, arrival date/time and a return number. Do not land crew or go ashore elsewhere before clearing. Coming from the USVI you do not clear; leaving for the BVI you clear in at Jost Van Dyke, West End (Soper's Hole) or Road Town.
