Biras Creek
18° 29.6′ N · 64° 21.6′ W
A mangrove-lined creek off the south side of North Sound below Biras Hill, a favourite kayak and paddleboard trip from Bitter End.
Practical
Coordinate is the OpenStreetMap bay label. Bitter End promotes paddling through the Biras Creek mangroves in its kayaks and SUPs. No current published guidance for anchoring or moorings in the creek itself was found (the former Biras Creek resort marina is listed on marinas.com without details), so treat it as a dinghy and paddle destination; see Biras Creek Anchorage (North Sound) for the mouth. Hazard (Coast Pilot 5): Oyster Rock, about 150 yards off the south shore in the approach to Biras Creek, is a pinnacle with only 2 ft of water over it, surrounded by a shallow patch.
Best for
Kayak or SUP through the mangroves
