Su San Hoi Fossil Shell Beach
8° 1.3′ N · 98° 53.0′ E
Slabs of compressed fossil shells laid down tens of millions of years ago (the Southeast Asia Pilot says about 75 million) break the shoreline at Laem Pho, east of Ao Nam Mao, part of the national park.
Practical
Position from Wikivoyage; OpenStreetMap maps the attraction at 8.0226N 98.8852E. About 2.5 nm northeast of Laem Nang, past Ao Nam Mao (Pilot). The slabs are best seen at low tide. Accessible by road; from a boat at Ao Nam Mao, a dinghy landing depends on the tide over the mud flats. National park entry fee applies at the gate (verify locally).
