Kuraburi Pier (Surin ferries)
9° 13.7′ N · 98° 22.7′ E
The mainland pier north of Khura Buri where the Surin Islands boats leave, with the Surin National Park visitor centre where you can pay fees and check park status.
Practical
Coordinate is the OSM-mapped Kuraburi Pier. The Surin visitor centre is at the pier, about 2 km west of Phet Kasem Road (Thai National Parks; phone 076 472 145/146). Private operators run the boats, and there is no public ferry. Longtails to Koh Phra Thong also leave from here, at about 1,400 THB one way per boat for up to 8 passengers, last departure 4:30pm (Wikivoyage, year not stated, so verify locally). The pier is up a mangrove river, so check the depth before bringing a keelboat in; it is better to dinghy or longtail from the Ban Pak Chok anchorage. Road fuel (PTT, Caltex) and a 7-Eleven are on the highway in Khura Buri.
Best for
Surin park information, crew changes and longtail transfers
Season
Surin boats run mid-October to mid-May
