An anchorage off Ao Nid, Koh Mak's commercial pier and main village in the southeast, where the cargo boat and the Boonsiri catamaran call. It has the temple, school and health centre.

Southeast Asia Pilot waypoint 11°48.147N 102°29.614E: anchor in 8–10 m southeast of the Ao Tar Nid commercial pier; a large coral outcrop lies off the centre of the beach. Baan Ao Nid village has the temple, school and island health centre (The Lost Passport). Expect ferry and cargo traffic at the pier. The view south is to Koh Kut.
