Khuk Khak PTT Station and Cooking Gas (Khao Lak)
8° 41.6′ N · 98° 15.3′ E
Khao Lak's main fuel stop on Route 4 just north of Khuk Khak, for petrol and diesel by jerry can. Yacht cooking-gas bottles have no documented refill point on this coast.
Practical
Coordinate is the OSM-mapped PTT Sathit & Pitthaya, which matches Wikivoyage's PTT 'just north of Khuk Khak centre at km 790.5' (7am to 8pm; about 35 THB per litre, verify locally). Other stations: PTT and Shell at Lam Kaen near Thap Lamu (see Lam Kaen Fuel Station). In bulk, diesel is pumped to the concrete jetty at Thap Lamu, with the day's price on a whiteboard opposite the restaurant (Southeast Asia Pilot). LPG: no yacht-bottle refill station is mapped or documented in Khao Lak. Thai shops swap local cylinders rather than filling foreign bottles. Fill foreign bottles before leaving Phuket (see the LPG refill near Boat Lagoon in the Phuket section), or carry a Thai cylinder and swap it at any village gas shop.
