Haad Yao's long beach is lined with resort restaurants, with a clifftop breakfast spot at its southern end and a cluster of cafés along the road behind.

Coordinate is Absolute Island (OpenStreetMap), which Wikivoyage places on the cliff at the start of the beach: breakfast around 100 THB and cocktails from 100 THB, with a view worth the climb (prices undated; verify locally). Wikivoyage also names Haad Yao Villa (mid-beach; the best Thai food on the beach, dishes from 60 THB), Silver Beach View (sea-view balcony), Crave Restaurant & Lounge (opposite the 7-Eleven, upstairs; burgers, salads, free pool table) and Haad Yao Lounge (open six days a week). OpenStreetMap adds Pura Vida, Locco's PizzaBar, Rimtang Thai Street Food, Senses French restaurant and Haad Yao Restaurant along the beach road. Wikivoyage notes a 7-Eleven and ATMs at Haad Yao.
