A west-facing beach on Koh Kut with rope swings and sunsets, beside Hin Dam pier. Its only bars and restaurants belong to the resorts.
Practical
The Lost Passport (2025 update): the author's favourite beach; faces west for sunsets, rope swings, and the only restaurants and bars are the resorts', at reasonable prices. OpenStreetMap maps Ao Taphao Beach next to Hin Dam pier, with Koh Kood Hospital and the district office close by. No yacht waypoint is published here. Ao Khlong Chao (5 m, sand) is the nearest Pilot anchorage, about 2.5 km south. It is west-facing, so only for NE-season visits.
