TS Naval Providence Shipyard (haul-out)

4° 38.8′ S · 55° 28.6′ E · approximate

The main yacht haul-out yard in Seychelles: a 150-ton travelift that takes big catamarans, plenty of hard standing, wet berths and full repair shops at the entrance to the Eden Island waterway.

Practical

Approximate: Noonsite says the yard sits at the entrance to the Eden Island waterway in Providence, so the pin is placed there; confirm the slipway position with the yard. Taylor Smith merged with Naval Services in 2018 and trades as TS Naval, running this Providence yard and the Port Victoria yard. Providence: 150-ton travelift, crane, 40-ton yard trailer, hard standing, wet docks and marina berths, 24-hour security, fuel and chandlery (Noonsite); TS Naval's site also mentions a newer 200-ton boat trailer. A 55 ft monohull hauled in August 2024 reported gelcoat repair, antifouling, electrical and engine work on time and on budget, with costs broadly like the UK except Propspeed, which is expensive because of import costs. Earlier cruisers (2018) called the work good quality but expensive. About 5 minutes to the airport and 15 to Victoria.
