Silhouette Marine National Park Fees and Rules

4° 29.1′ S · 55° 15.5′ E · approximate

The 30.45 sq km marine park ringing Silhouette (declared 1987) is the largest in Seychelles; budget for park fees and follow park rules from the moment you enter its waters.

Practical

Pin approx, in the water off La Passe (the park surrounds the whole island). Fees: The Moorings' Seychelles eGuide (printed January 2026) states that all marine parks currently charge SCR 200 per person per day and SCR 250 for the yacht if staying overnight, paid in rupees cash to the park rangers or island custodian, who issue tickets. SPGA's 2026 online ticket schedule sets the same structure for the parks it lists (day tickets for non-residents 12 and over, valid 8am to 5pm; overnight mooring permit SCR 250 per vessel per night for any time inside a park between 5pm and 8am; penalty SCR 600 for entering an SPGA site without a permit), but Silhouette is not named on that schedule, so confirm the Silhouette rate with the ranger or your charter base and carry rupees (verify locally). Rules: anchor in sand only, never on coral; no fishing gear or spearguns; no collecting shells or coral; no water-skiing or motorised water sports. Landing on Silhouette for the trails needs the separate IDC/ICS landing permit.
