Seychelles Petroleum Station (Beau Vallon)

4° 37.1′ S · 55° 25.8′ E

The road fuel station closest to Beau Vallon's anchorage, on the main road behind the beach near the supermarkets: the place to top up jerry cans of petrol or diesel without motoring round to Victoria.

Practical

OSM maps it as 'Seychelles Petroleum' (amenity=fuel); hours not published, verify locally. It is a road station, not a fuel dock: land the dinghy on the beach (surf landing; land at the ends of the bay and keep clear of the swimming markers), then walk about 1 km inland via the Beau Vallon junction or take a taxi with the cans. For larger quantities use the fuel dock at Eden Island Marina or buy diesel at the fishing-port wall in Victoria, where cruisers report no surcharge if you jerry-can it. The Moorings quotes diesel at around EUR 1.34 a litre (eGuide; verify locally).

Best for

Jerry-can fuel within reach of the Beau Vallon anchorage
