Pinnacle Point Dive (Ile Sèche)
4° 36.9′ S · 55° 31.1′ E · approximate
Granite pinnacles beside Ile Sèche (Beacon Island) on the eastern edge of the Ste Anne group, with hawksbill turtles, eagle rays, groupers and schooling fusiliers in 0-15 m.
Practical
Approximate: scaled from the numbered site marker on Big Blue Divers' printed dive-site map (2020), georeferenced against the OpenStreetMap outlines of Ste Anne, Moyenne and Ile Cachée; the map is schematic, so treat the pin as within roughly 0.5-1 km. Big Blue Divers site 46: 0-15 m, granite rocks with surge and/or current; moray eels, hump-head parrotfish, eagle rays, hawksbill turtles, groupers, schooling big-eye snappers, anemones and clownfish, porcupine fish, octopus and whitetip reef sharks. Exposed to the east: surge builds quickly in the SE trades. Dive with a licensed Seychelles centre (Big Blue Divers lists it as a long-distance boat trip from Beau Vallon); do not anchor a yacht on the rocks.
Best for
Shallow pinnacle dive on the outer edge of the park
Season
Best in NW monsoon and calm transition months
