Esmeralda the Giant Tortoise (Bird Island)

Esmeralda, a male Aldabra giant tortoise despite the name, weighs about 298 kg and is billed as the world's heaviest free-roaming tortoise; more than 20 other giant tortoises wander the island with him.
Practical
The tortoises roam freely in mangrove, dune, grassland and scrub, so there is no fixed spot; ask lodge staff. Do not feed or ride them. Coordinate is approximate: island centre.
